The Holiday Rush is now history…. we had over 300 orders this year, a record! I think we were overwhelmed about the first week into November! Seems like all we did was bag rocks and minerals, make kits, order supplies and just keep shipping as fast as we could!
Maggie was a pro at bagging just about anything in the rock, mineral, fossil or shell category! (See her cool gingerbread house? She’s good at making those…) Believe it or not we went through almost 3,000 bags!!! Unbelievable…
Believe it or not, a lot of our material comes in very large and we have to crack it up and make it ready for the kits and such. And it’s a hard job to crack rocks in the snow! But Jessy loves doing it… as you can see the big smile on the rock hound kid’s face…
In the end, we saw a lot of the post man and the UPS man and the FedEX man and the DHL man! (g) I’m afraid the neighbors were probably wondering what was up at our little moby home!!! Many thanks to our friend Jeff for helping to play mail man for us when our car went down hard and was out of commission for a couple weeks! He hauled in load after load for us! We’ll have to put him on the payroll next year! He’s got a knack for box delivery!
We hope everyone has enjoyed their packages and goodies as they arrive… it was a TON of work, but we love helping to make kids Christmas mornings a rocky and mineral time for all!
